Petra & Costa

How we got to know each other

Costa spent his childhood up to the age of 16 in a small village where Petra’s uncle ran a cozy bakery. Back then, Petra was still a little girl and the two didn’t know each other. Costa, on the other hand, was a regular at her uncle’s café – so regular that you’d think he had his own nameplate at the regulars’ table. Whether it was after a nerve-wracking football match or a long night out, Costa and his friends could almost always be found there.

Some 16 years later, both now grown up and on their own paths in life, they meet by chance at a salsa party – in a town so far away from their hometown that even their satnav would have given up. Costa, now 32 years old, has matured a little, but still has that youthful spark in his heart. Petra, at 26, is curious about the world of salsa, dares to take her first dance steps and simply enjoys the vibrant atmosphere of the party.

Costa, who is known for finding new people so fascinating that he would probably even listen to a cactus, has already had a few cocktails and decides to get some fresh air. And that’s when fate strikes: he heads straight for Petra and her friend. Fortunately, he’s known her friend for a while, which makes things a lot less awkward.

With his charming smile and a carefree attitude that is partly due to alcohol, he greets Petra with a warm hug. They quickly strike up a conversation, and when Petra mentions that she has been working in her uncle’s bakery for a few years, it hits Costa like a bolt from the blue! Without hesitation, he exclaims: “That must be your uncle! And I also know your aunt, who used to serve there 16 years ago!”

Petra is perplexed and amazed at the same time, but she actually confirms it. And so begins a story that couldn’t have started better for the two of them – a bit like an old recipe that is suddenly rediscovered and tastes just as good as it did back then.

We are getting married!

“Relationships are what life is all about.” This motto has been with us for a long time. We are firmly convinced that the most beautiful moments in life with the right people by our side are unforgettable and more fulfilling than many other things.

It’s no secret that as we get older, spontaneity, flexibility and sometimes even our own needs take a back seat. This is only understandable – the obligations of family and work already fill our days sufficiently.

But despite all the satisfaction in life, it is often the beautiful memories that warm our hearts and bring a smile to our faces. After all, what remains with us are the delicious meals and good wine with friends on a warm summer evening, the exuberant parties where we lost track of time and the deep conversations that brought us closer together.

For us, friendship cannot be measured by how often we see each other or what we have done for each other. For us, friendship simply means: Are you good for us? Then you are our friend.

For us, it’s not just about celebrating our wedding with you. Rather, it is a great pleasure for us to create new memories and celebrate life together with you.
